In Memoriam

This weekend there was a death in my family. My Aunt, Denise Stephenson passed away late Friday night. I’m still trying to gather details about her passing but I can say this: I’m going to miss her. When I was a baby she was one of the few people my mother trusted to watch over me. She worked as a social worker and helped a lot of children during her career. I hope she is at peace now.

My Super Bowl LX Prediction part 2

AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! I was right! Super Bowl LX is going to be the Patriots vs the Seahawks! If you didn’t watch the AFC and NFC Championship games on Sunday you missed two really great games!

AFC Championship

This was the Patriots vs the Broncos in Denver. The day started out nice and clear, until snow moved in during the second half. Still, both side fought on. This ended up being a low scoring game: 10-7. The kickers for both teams missed multiple times, but in the end, the Patriots won

NFC Championship

Rams vs Seahawks. This one was a bit more interesting. Things were going well for the Seahawks…until Woolen got a penalty for taunting. I thought, Dude you may have just cost the Seahawks a trip to the Super Bowl. Thankfully the Hawks pulled it together and won: Rams 27, Seahawks 31. I’m not going to lie: that taunting penalty made me nervous.

I think its going to be an interesting Super Bowl. Bad Bunny is headlining the Half Time Show. Green Day is going to open the pre-game show (yeah!). I’m looking forward to it.

My Super Bowl LX Prediction

Super Bowl LX is just around the corner. Many people are making predictions as to who will go and who will win. This coming weekend the NFC and AFC Championship games will be played, and we’ll finally know once and for all who will play in the Super Bowl. I’m going to make a prediction of my own.

I watched all season long, as many games as I had access to. I’m a Giants and Jets fan, and if you were watching too, you know how that went. So I rallied behind other teams I like. I was holding out hope for the Lions, thinking this year might be Detroit’s year. Sadly, they didn’t make it. Then I thought, Pope Leo is from Chicago, so maybe the Bears will receive a blessing! Nope. Ravens? Nuh-uh. Bills? Almost. Kansas City got knocked out, and I was happy about that (I’m tired of hearing about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce anyway).

So we’re down to the final four: Patriots vs Broncos and Rams vs Seahawks. Plenty of people have a ton of faith in Bo Nix and Drake Maye. I believe the Patriots Broncos game is going to be a knock-down drag-out fight, but I have a feeling the Patriots are going to win. Then there’s the Rams Seahawks game. The Rams are good, but the Seahawks are going to eat this game and leave no crumbs.

There you have it. This is my prediction: Seahawks and Patriots. But don’t ask me who will win…at least, not until after both Championships this weekend.
