Spring is in the air. The flowers are in bloom, birds are chirping, and it’s Short Story Month! This month I will post short stories and sample chapters that read like short stories. Plus, I’ll share some of my favorite short stories, written by other authors.
If you’re thinking about getting into a different genre as far as reading is concerned, short stories are a great way to discover new genres and new authors. Each year since 1924, The Best American Short Stories releases a collection of fantastic reads. They also publish genre-focused editions, such as The Best American Mystery Stories and The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy. These can be found wherever books are sold.
