Dear Netflix:

So, you’re getting into anime now, eh? Streaming Neon Genesis Evangelion for a new generation? How nice! Too bad you’re showing it without any of the LGBTQ elements (can’t believe you did that during Pride Month!). In case you’re thinking about adding any other anime series to your catalog, here’s a piece of advice: don’t show Revolutionary Girl Utena.

Why am I saying this? Simple: Utena is full of LGBTQ elements. So is Strawberry Panic, Sailor Moon, Yuri!!! On Ice, Sweet Blue Flowers…the list goes on and on. While it would be nice to see these series on Netflix, it would be wrong to alter them in such a way, that EVERYONE can’t enjoy them. So maybe don’t do it, Ever.
