I’ve had a Tumblr account for a few years now. When I mentioned to someone I was a writer, they informed me I “needed to get on Tumblr!”. So, I signed up, and attempted to post as often as I could. But, over the years, between Facebook and Twitter, WordPress and Instagram (and my website) Tumblr tends to get lost in the shuffle. If it wasn’t linked to my Instagram page, I probably wouldn’t post anything on it at all. So, now I’m wondering: is anyone actually reading my posts on Tumblr? Does anyone out there still use Tumblr, or is it just a waste of time?
Aside from the infrequent posts, I don’t read other posts on Tumblr. I’m beginning to think the whole thing is just a big waste of time. And it’s not like I don’t have a ton of other social media pages to keep up with. Removing Tumblr from my plate would make my life a tad bit easier. I’m still on the fence about it. I’ll give it 30 days, and see how I feel. In the meantime, if any of you are on Tumblr, feel free to comment and weigh in with your thoughts.
