Two literary events are taking place this month. May is Short Story Month, and it’s also Get Caught Reading Month! When I lived in New York, you could always catch me reading while I rode the train to and from work. It really helps to pass the time, and it made my hour long commute to and from work much more pleasant. Get Caught Reading Month was created by the Association of American Publishers (the AAP) to remind people how much fun reading can be. The best way to celebrate, is to READ! Plant your nose in your favorite book, or scroll through the pages of your favorite ebook. You can share pics of you and your book on social media with the hashtag #GetCaughtReadingMonth.

So go ahead! Grab a book and read! Read during your lunch break! Read while you’re relaxing at the park! Anywhere! It doesn’t matter! Become a bibliophile!
