Spring is just around the corner! Flowers will soon be in bloom. The grass will be bright and green. This made me think about the changes I’ve been making to some of my books, and I realized I have neglected my mother and fellow author’s books in the process! But, I have corrected my mistake. I’m happy to announce the changes that have been made to the covers of two of June Parris’ books: The Kindness of Strangers and A Rose Left Behind.

On the left is the older cover of The Kindness of Strangers, June Parris’ debut book. The cover on the right is the new design, one we’re both much happier with. The green is darker and I feel the image of the couple on the cover is a better reflection of the story itself: a couple who comes across a pair of strangers who offer them kindness in their time of need.

On the left is the previous cover for A Rose Left Behind. The new cover is featured on the right. I wanted to keep the black and white picture of the little girl (my mother when she was about two years old!), and I have added some train tracks. The two images fade into one another, with the tracks representing the Underground Railroad, an important detail in this ghost story.
I hope readers like the changes. I used Canva to create the updated covers. If you haven’t read either book, they’re available on Amazon and through the Store Page on this site. 🙂
