Hello everyone! I’m closing the year with an interview with one of my favorite indie authors, Nicole E. Woolaston! I have interviewed her before under my old WP account, but in keeping with my fresh start, this is a brand new interview under my brand new account. This email was conducted via email correspondence. 

Ebunnygirl: Nicole, a lot has happened since the last time we connected. It looks like you’ve been very busy with your writing!

Nicole Woolaston: Yes I have! This year I published my 50th book for Woolaston Entertainment. I have 46 titles of my own, and four for my mother June E. Parris. 

EBG: Fifty books is a lot! Would you say your writing has changed since you began publishing?

NW: Oh, definitely. I believe my writing has matured over the years. Every now and then I go back and read one of my earlier books just to see what my writing was like in the earlier days. There have been many improvements over the years.

EBG: You’re working on something new for next year, yes?

NW: I’m working on a book of quotes, which I will release in January. I pulled some of the best quotes from my books, and I think readers will like it.

EBG: What made you decide to publish a book of quotes?

NW: It’s something I had been thinking about for awhile. I wasn’t sure if I would really have enough material. Then I started going through some of my books and the next thing I knew I had about fifteen quotes ready. I think this book will be especially good for readers who may not be familiar with my work.

EBG: Why’s that?

NW: I think the quotes I have chosen are great representations of my work. Plus, it helped me prepare for the other book I’m working on, which will be a memoir.

EBG: A memoir? That sounds interesting! Why a memoir?

NW: I started working on a book to celebrate Woolaston Entertainment’s 30th year, and as I began sorting through available materials, I thought about how much my writing coincides with my life. I thought about where I was when I wrote each book, what inspired each book. There’s a lot for me to unpack and the book is turning into a memoir!

EBG: It sounds like it’s going to be very interesting and I can’t wait to read it. Speaking of books, I finished Valentine R Book Three and Barrin Heights, and absolutely loved them both. In terms of Valentine, is this really her last book?

NW: Yes, I’m afraid so. Val and I have had a good run. After nineteen books I’m ready to put the characters and the stories to bed and work on new stories.

EBG: Well, I’m thankful to have been able to enjoy all of the Valentine books, and the stories and characters were excellent. Aside from a memoir and the book of quotes, do you have any other projects lined up for 2026?

NW: Yes, I’m working on the sixth Our Lady of Righteous Rage book, and a separate stand-alone book, too. Plus, I’m making plans to improve the online store on my website.
