Greetings, good readers and fellow writers and creatives! Happy Tuesday. September is drawing to a close and October is right around the corner. do you know what else is around the corner? Novel November! Yes, Novel November: the alternative to the now defunct National Novel Writing Month, aka NaNoWriMo. Novel November (NN for the rest of this post) was sponsored by Scrivener and ProWritingAid.

The goal of NN is to write 50,000 words in 30 days without pausing to edit. By the end of November, you should have a complete rough draft for your novel. Why am I mentioning this now? Because October is the month you should spend gathering your necessary materials and making notes and outlining your novel. November is the month you spend writing it, while December is the month you spend editing it and making corrections.
