Monday Blog: Dec 17, 2018: My B-day present to W.E.

Happy Monday, ladies and gents! Welcome to the new and improved Monday Blog! If you’re reading this, you either found it on my WordPress site, or you found the RSS Feed on the Woolaston Entertainment website. Either way, I’m happy you found it!

Using the RSS Feed has made posting so much more efficient for me. Instead of killing myself to post on two different sites, I can post on one, and it will take care of the other. I probably should have done this sooner, but everything happens in it’s own time.

I wanted to do something nice for W.E. and for myself, in honor of W.E.’s 24th birthday. So, I got to work. I’ve been coming up with all sorts of ways to improve the website. Aside from working on the online store, I’ve made improvements to the other pages on the site. Visitors can now access the W.E. Facebook page and my Twitter account directly from the site, or at least see the posts as I post them.  I’ve replaced links (both the working and non-working ones) with buttons, which are much easier to use. Plus, if you’re shopping on the website, you can easily compare the W.E. prices, to Amazon’s prices for the books (sorry Amazon!)

These improvements must have made a difference, since the site reached 1400 views last month, and so far, close to 1100 for December.

Nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

This is my gift to W.E. I’m finally in a position to treat it like what it truly is: a business. More merchandise will be coming to the online store: more titles, t-shirts, book marks, stationary, etc.  I’ve managed to make a few sales since the relaunch, so things are looking up. I hope this encourages other self-published authors to take the next step in promoting and selling their work, if they’re not already doing so. All you have to do is try. Remember: nothing from nothing leaves nothing.

Until next week.
