NFL Post Season: Superbowl LIII

I’m a football fan, and this past weekend, the Wildcard games took place. As expected, the Dallas Cowboys earned a place at the Division Playoffs table. What I didn’t expect, was that the Indianapolis Colts would earn a seat at that same table. But, it is what it is. Being a New Yorker at heart, I would have loved to see the Giants or the Jets (hell, even the Buffalo Bills) make it to the Playoffs, but sadly, they didn’t. Neither did my Packers or my Steelers (and yeah, I was rooting for the Seahawks, too). I did, however, make a Playoffs prediction back on November 4th: Patriots, Chiefs, Rams, and Saints. Lo and behold, I was right! So, can I make a Superbowl prediction?

I’m going for it. I know, it may be too early to tell, but I’m going for it anyway. My Superbowl LIII prediction: Saints vs Chiefs. I know, I know: the Patriots are in the Playoffs. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fan of Tom Brady, the G.O.A.T. himself. But I don’t see the Patriots going back to the Superbowl this year. Same goes for the Eagles. Yes, they have their secret weapon Nick Foles. I have to give credit to Patrick Mahomes. First year as an NFL QB, and look at what he’s done! Then, there’s the Saints. Drew Brees is playing better now than ever before. And with a Running Back like Alvin Kamara, they HAVE to go to the Superbowl.

In the event the Saints don’t get to represent the NFC in the Superbowl, then I would put my money on the Rams. But as far as the AFC is concerned, I definitely see the Chiefs going to the Superbowl.

I guess we’ll find out after Playoffs.
