The other day I was looking at some of the pictures in my Google Drive. I came across some of the pictures I took when I went to the ALA (American Library Association) Convention in Washington DC, over ten years ago. The pictures feature displays that were set up by my old publisher, Xlibris. As I have mentioned in many posts before, Xlibris charges way too much money for a very small return. I, along with dozens and dozens of other authors, spent money to have one of my books added to the ALA catalog and an Xlibris display at the convention. When I went to the convention to see everything for myself, I was surprised to see bookshelves of books, and no one approaching attendees to attempt to sell or recommend a book. I’ve included my pictures with this post.

I’ve moved on to bigger and less disappointing things, and I hope the other authors have as well.
