It’s fun to write a book in which your characters go through life changes and family drama, while you yourself are also going through life changes and family drama (try boomers fighting over an estate and the need to find a new apartment, pronto). It makes you feel more connected to your writing.
I’m working on several things, but nothing gives me more pleasure than writing an Our Lady of Righteous Rage book. The sixth one in the series, titled Louder! , is going to be a lot of fun. Amy and the gang are back, and doing their best to remain in top form through a global pandemic, more fame than they ever expected, and a few life-altering events. Oh, and drugs. Edibles. And spoiler alert: Erin is thinking about motherhood!

The band is learning to take their music and their talents to new heights, by using a few new tools. And Stephanie is going to learn to cope with being in a famous family, while still dealing with her crappy biological parents. There’s going to be music, lyrics, and maybe a fight or two. A little something for everyone! I’m also working on the cover (no, that’s not it above). I’m leaning towards the kind of doodle you might make if you were in seventh grade math class and you were bored and just started drawing stuff in your notebook.
Oh and side note: there’s another companion book in the works: The Edwards Sisters.

I’ll keep you posted.
