It’s Friday the 13th!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! To be honest, I didn’t even realize this day was coming until late last night as I was about to go to sleep. I’ve had a lot going on lately, so Friday the 13th was the furthest thing from my mind. So, I just went to work as planned and got my day started. About two hours in, one of my co-workers pointed out the fact that there was a large bird sitting on a tree branch outside our window. Upon closer inspection, we determined this might be a rough-legged hawk (they’re common in the Hampton Roads area).

I’ve named him Gary…Gary the Hawk. I know I could have gone with Tony (see what I did there?). Or, if its a female, Maya (did it again!). I could literally sit and watch him all day, even if he’s just sitting there. Seeing him is a nice way to balance out these supposed Friday the 13th vibes.
