Chances are, your local public library has shelves that are lines with thousands of books. Readers have plenty to choose from. If you’ve published a book and it’s available at your public library, it’s quite an accomplishment. If someone actually checks the book out and reads it, it’s even better.

Her Name is Lola Vencent, the second book in the Valentine Apart series, is available at the main location of the Hampton Public Library. I donated a copy in February of this year, and since then, it has been checked out four times! For me, this is really exciting. The last person to check it out actually asked me if I had any books I had written at the library. He was surprised to learn that someone like me had written a book about a hitwoman ( I’ve been told I appear to be the intellectual type, but I’m still not entirely sure what that means…). After our conversation, he checked the book out. I hope he enjoys it.

The story follows Lola, a character featured in the Valentine series, as she becomes a hitwoman, and later, begins to work for the Syndicate. Readers are given an opportunity to learn more about Lola’s past, before she began to work for mob boss John Rafferty.
